The Kansas Governor’s Mined Land Reclamation Award for 2012, 2014, 2018
Mid-States Materials was honored for its reclamation work at its Big Springs Quarry in western Douglas County. The work there included wildlife food plots, reintroduction of quail, constructing wetlands and terraces and planting grasses and field buffer strips.
